David J. Greene, DMD
Dr. Greene loves the outdoors and in his free time enjoys bicycling, hiking, and skiing. He is also an accomplished woodworker and has built much of the furniture in his home. At the age of 50 he became very interested in sailing and after completing the necessary coursework and certifications, he and his wife have enjoyed chartering and captaining sailboats in the Pacific Northwest and the Virgin Islands.
Dr. Greene has also been an avid private pilot since 1986 with instrument and multi engine ratings. He has enjoyed many trips exploring our beautiful country from coast to coast as well as the Caribbean and Central America with his wife Jody and three daughters.
Dr. Greene has been practicing oral surgery in the Nashua area since 1986 and has been placing dental implants since 1984. He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating he worked as an engineer for an orthopedic implant company helping develop and test several designs. While there he learned a great deal about implants, but desired to pursue his passion for becoming a surgeon. He then attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine and graduated cum laude in 1982. After dental school he went on to complete a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital/University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, which included a year of training in anesthesiology. While there he focused on orthognathic (reconstructive) jaw surgery and dental implants, and became one of the first to be Branemark certified in 1985.
Dr. Greene grew up in New Jersey but decided to come to our beautiful state of New Hampshire to establish his practice after finishing his residency training.
Dr. Greene has been a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons since 1984 and is an active member of the hospital staff at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Nashua.
